Ouch, Minnesota: With Eagles up big, fans troll Vikings by mocking 'Skol' chant

It’s not like Sunday could have gotten much worse for the Minnesota Vikings and their fans. But just in case, the Philadelphia Eagles fans tried.

The Vikings’ “Skol” chant has become a relatively instant phenomenon. It peaked when quarterback Case Keenum led it after Stefon Diggs’ “Minneapolis Miracle” touchdown in the divisional round. But we won’t see it at the Vikings’ home stadium in Super Bowl LII, and the Eagles fans let them know about it.

In the second half, with the Eagles holding a big lead, the fans at Lincoln Financial Field mocked the chant, with the hand clap over their heads and everything. On Fox, Joe Buck said the Eagles fans changed the chant from “Skol” to “Foles” to honor the Eagles’ starting quarterback. Oof.

The Vikings had visions of winning the NFC championship game and going on to host Super Bowl LII in their own stadium. Instead, they heard a somewhat familiar chant coming from Eagles fans, and that couldn’t have been too fun.

Oh, and the modified Skol clap – the “Foles clap” – didn’t stop there. It made appearances in the streets of Philadelphia later that night as well:
