OU vs. Texas football: Kickoff time set for final Big 12 Red River Rivalry matchup
NORMAN — The final Big 12 OU-Texas game will, fittingly, be an 11 a.m. kick.
The Oct. 7 Red River Rivalry will be a morning kickoff, the league announced Monday. The game will be televised on ABC.
It is the sixth consecutive 11 a.m. kickoff for the annual rivalry game played in the Cotton Bowl in the heart of the State Fair of Texas.
The game has kicked off at 11 a.m. in 12 of the last 13 seasons.
The schools will move to the SEC next season. opening the door for a later kick time. It is expected to remain a day game, though.
Texas won last season's matchup, 49-0.
