Asamoah, a native of Columbus, Ohio, was a consistent starter on the Sooners' defense the past two seasons.
Asamoah, who majored in human relations, started 10 games during the 2021 OU football season, and nine games in 2020.

Brian Asamoah: OU football tackles leader
Asamoah led the Sooners in tackles the past two seasons with a total of 156.
“Really accomplished a lot of the goals that I had set for myself,” Asamoah said. “I feel like I did some good things at Oklahoma, though the one thing I wanted to do was win a national championship, and we didn’t get to do that. But honestly, I feel like I finished up my career at Oklahoma the best way possible.”
