MLB OSSAA releases Class B regional fast-pitch brackets
Sep. 25—These teams are one step away from the state tournament.
The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association released its regional tournament brackets for Class B teams on Monday, with two local fast-pitch teams learning of their regional opponents.
Stuart and Kiowa will both be hosting their own regionals, bringing three teams each to their schools as they will all battle it out to see who will punch their ticket to the state tournament.
At the Kiowa regional, the fourth-ranked Cowgirls will host McCurtain, Smithville, and thirteenth-ranked Buffalo Valley.
In the Stuart regional, the fifth-ranked, defending state champion Lady Hornets will host Oilton, Wilson (Henryetta), and eleventh-ranked Whitesboro.
The Class B regional tournaments are scheduled for Thursday and Friday. They are double-elimination tournaments, with one winner advancing to the state tournament.
The OSSAA Class B State Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 5-7. The first two rounds of the tournament will be held at FireLake Ball Park in Shawnee, while the finals on Oct. 7 will be held at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
