Warren County coroner identifies man who died after being struck by a car in Lebanon Saturday

The Warren County Coroner's Office has identified the 74-year-old pedestrian killed Saturday morning in Lebanon as Leonard Johnson.

Investigators said a 2014 Honda Accord traveling north on the Ohio 48 Bypass between Ohio 123 and Monroe Road struck Johnson about 5 a.m.

Johnson had walked away from the Cedarview Rehabilitation and Nursing Care facility on Oregonia Road in Lebanon, they said.

Investigators said that after Johnson walked away from the facility, he crossed over the right-of-way fence, walked up the embankment and into the roadway.

The driver of the Honda Accord called Lebanon police to report he struck Johnson, who died at the scene, they said.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Lebanon Post continues to investigate.
