Major League Baseball released their 2020 regular-season schedule on Monday. Here's what stands out for the Orioles.
Like the Nationals, the Orioles also open the 2020 MLB regular season against the same team they opened the 2019 season with. Baltimore will host AL East rivals, the New York Yankees, to open the season, with Opening Day on Thursday, March 26.
Things don't get any easier after the opening series, as the Boston Red Sox come to Baltimore for a three-game set immediately after.
The Orioles are paired up with the National League Central division for Interleague play in 2020. The Orioles will certainly get their fix of Interleague play early on in 2020, as Baltimore has three seperate series against NL Central teams in the first month of the season, including a trip to Wrigley Field.
Baltimore will have one of their toughest stretches of the season right before the All-Star break, as their final 11 games before the midsummer classic will be on the road.
They do get to travel somewhere new in 2020, however. On Sunday, Aug. 23, the Orioles will head north to Williamsport, Pa., the home of the Little League World Series. Baltimore will host Boston in the 2020 MLB Little League Classic, aired on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball.
On Sept. 6, the Orioles host the Yankees on the 25th anniversary of Cal Ripken, Jr's 2,131 consecutive games played.
The Orioles close out their season at home against the Red Sox from Sept. 25-27. You can see the full schedule here.
