After nearly three years without a facility, TrackTown USA is back!

Oregon Track & Field debuted the new Hayward Field officially on Friday with the Hayward Premiere meet.

The field was completed in June 2020, but no meets were held at Hayward Field due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During the event, Oregon picked up four wins with Cole Hocker’s late surge to win the men’s 1,500-meter Invitational in the first home meet of his Ducks career.

Some media members were allowed in the stadium, but it was mostly empty for most of the meet on Friday and will be on Saturday as well.

But once covid restrictions are lifted, you can expect fans to pile in and see the new stadium in person.
