Oregon, Oregon State WBB postpone upcoming game vs. Cal due to COVID-19 protocols originally appeared on NBC Sports Northwest

This upcoming weekend women’s basketball slate was about to be a good one in the state of Oregon.

Both No. 11 Oregon and Oregon State were set to welcome in the Bay Area schools of the Cal Golden Bears and the No. 5 Stanford Cardinal.

Unfortunately, the Bears are dealing with COVID-related issues and protocols within its program, so the schools had to postpone hosting Cal until a later date.

The Ducks are coming off a brutal 20-point loss to the No. 10 Arizona Wildcats on Monday. Oregon once again struggled on the offensive side of the ball. Just two players finished in double figures: Nyara Sabally (17) and Sedona Prince (10).

Now, Oregon (12-4, 9-4 Pac-12) will host Stanford (17-2, 14-2 Pac-12) on national television on Monday, February 15 at 4 PM (PT) at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon. The last time these two squads met up, the Ducks put up a tough fight but eventually fell to the Cardinal, 70-63 in Santa Clara, CA.

The Beavs have battled with COVID-19 protocols for what seems like all season long.

There was a six-game, three-week stretch where Oregon State had to postpone game after game between December 21 - January 15. Oregon State (6-5, 4-5 Pac-12) has played the least amount of games compared to any other team in the Pac-12 conference.

Originally scheduled for Friday, Oregon State will now host Stanford on Saturday, February 13 at 6 PM (PT) at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon.

This will be the first time this season these two teams have met up.
