After a weekend sweep of then No. 24 Arizona and Arizona State, Oregon men's basketball (14-3, 3-1 Pac-12) jumped up one spot in the AP Poll rankings this week to No. 8.
The No. 8 Oregon Ducks and No. 20 Colorado Buffaloes are the only Pac-12 schools ranked in this week's AP Poll Top 25.
It started with a nail-biter on Thursday night against then No. 24 ranked Arizona, who fell out of the AP Top 25 this week after losing to the Ducks and then to the Oregon State Beavers on Sunday.
Whenever Oregon and Arizona meet up, it's usually calls for a good game. This edition was no different as Oregon defeated Arizona 74-73 lead by the guard-play of senior Payton Pritchard and sophomore Will Richardson who dropped a season-high 21 points in the showing.
On Saturday, the Ducks rained in the three's and found their outside shot lead by Pritchard's season-high 29 points hitting 6-for-9 from three-point range. Oregon defeated Arizona State 78-69 at Matthew Knight Arena.
Next up for the No. 8 Ducks is a trip up north to visit the Washington schools, both ranked at the bottom of the conference. First up on Thursday, the Ducks will face the Washington State Cougars (10-7, 1-3 Pac-12) in Pullman and then a trip to Seattle on Saturday afternoon for a date with the Huskies (11-6, 1-3 Pac-12).
