Oregon lands ex-Alabama OL Dallas Warmack as grad transfer
Oregon bolstered its roster with another graduate transfer on Saturday night.
Dallas Warmack, an offensive lineman from Alabama, made it known that he will finish his career with the Ducks. The 6-foot-2, 314-pound Warmack is immediately eligible and has two years remaining.

What it means for Oregon
Oregon, entering its first season with Mario Cristobal as head coach, is looking to work its way back to contender status in the Pac-12 after back-to-back down years. Even with Tyrell Crosby now in the NFL, the Ducks’ offensive line could be the foundation for a major turnaround in 2018.
Shane Lemieux, Calvin Throckmorton, Jake Hanson and Brady Aiello, all redshirt juniors, have plenty of starting experience. Warmack, once he arrives on campus this summer, could potentially slide into a starting role at right guard, but he will have competition for that spot. Sophomore Jacob Capra, who started one game last year, was listed as the starter entering spring practice.
Who is Dallas Warmack?
Warmack is the younger brother of Chance Warmack, a three-year starter at Alabama who turned into a first-round NFL draft pick. Dallas Warmack followed his brother to Tuscaloosa as a four-star recruit in the 2015 recruiting class. He appeared in 16 games in his first two years with the program, but did not play in 2017.
Warmack was recruited to Alabama by none other than Cristobal, who was the Tide’s offensive line coach from 2013 to 2016. That played a big role in his transfer destination.
“I am going to play my last two years for the coach that I believe in most,” Warmack wrote on Twitter. “Coach Cristobal, let’s take Oregon to the highest level!”
Grad transfer galore
Warmack is the fourth graduate transfer Oregon has added this offseason, joining ex-Wake Forest wide receiver Tabari Hines, ex-USF tight end Kano Dillon and ex-UNLV cornerback Tim Hough.
Hines caught 115 passes for 1,438 yards and 11 touchdowns while Dillon caught 28 passes for 504 yards and four scores. Hough started 15 games during his time at UNLV.
