Oregon forces Arkansas softball into loser’s bracket

For the first time since Bogle Park opened, Arkansas lost a NCAA Regional game.

Oregon hit a grand slam and swung the bats with a fury in a 10-4 victory early Saturday afternoon over the Razorbacks.

Chenise Delce got the start after Hannah Camenzind started the regional opener.

Delce struggled with her command most of the day and ceded the ball to Camenzind, who also couldn’t slow Oregon’s offensive onslaught.

The setback placed Arkansas into an elimination game with Notre Dame late Saturday evening.

A win puts Arkansas into the regional final, but it will have to beat the Ducks twice to advance to the Super Regional.
