Dana Altman is on a roll on the recruiting trail.
Just three days after securing the second commitment of the 2021 recruiting class, Altman has added a third to become a man of Oregon.
Franck Kepnang, a 6'11", 247-pound center from Norristown, PA, committed to the University of Oregon Saturday over Texas A&M, Connecticut, Ohio State, UCLA, and more.
"I believe that the next chapter of my life is best suited in Eugene, Oregon. I'm going to Oregon," said Kepnang.
For Kepnang, Oregon's style of basketball separated them from the pack.
"With Oregon, they play my style of basketball," said the newest Oregon Duck per Prospective Insight. "They play an NBA style, with spreading the floor and allowing you to be versatile. Also, in terms of the facilities, I know that I won’t ever have to worry about getting injured or recovering. For anyone that plays basketball, that’s always been the biggest concern. I know that if anything happens, I’ll be taken care of because they have world-class facilities."
Eric Bossi of 247Sports reports Kepnang will enroll at Oregon next semester but he's undecided if he'll redshirt the 2020 college basketball season or play immediately, remaining in the 2021 recruiting class.
Kepnang joins five-star Nathan Bittle and three-star small forward Johnathan Lawson in the Ducks 7th-ranked composite 2021 recruiting class.
