Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, the world's largest contract chipmaker, on Thursday beat expectations for the first quarter.
Monetary policy in Mexico remains in restrictive territory and with inflation still above target, "the work is not done yet" to bring consumer prices down, central bank deputy governor Galia Borja said on Thursday. Speaking to journalists at Mexico's annual banking convention, Borja said "there was much left to be done" in bringing inflation to its target range of 3% plus or minus one percentage point.
