Oley Valley defeats Hamburg in boys basketball to capture Berks IV title
Jan. 28—Senior Chase Rubendall scored a game-high 16 points as Oley Valley defeated Hamburg 47-25 in a Berks Conference interdivision game at Hamburg to claim its first Berks IV title since the 2020-21 season.
The Lynx (8-1 Berks IV, 15-4) led 28-12 at the half after Oley Valley scored 14 points in each of the first two quarters and the Hawks (4-4 Berks III, 9-9) were held to just two in the second.
David Turchi had 12 points and Ben DeBalko scored 10 for the Lynx.
Conner Licklider scored a team-high 10 points for Hamburg.
Oley Valley, which has won eight straight, is ranked fourth in the District 3 Class 3A power rankings.
