Oilers ink F Caggiula to 2-year deal

The Edmonton Oilers agreed to terms with forward Drake Caggiula on a two-year contract, the team announced Thursday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Caggiula was set to become a restricted free agent July 1.

Caggiula, who turns 24 next week, had 13 goals and seven assists in 67 games with the Oilers this season. He signed a two-year entry-level deal after going undrafted out of the University of North Dakota in 2016 and had seven goals and 11 assists in 60 games as a rookie in 2016-17.

Caggiula scored three goals in 13 playoff games with Edmonton in 2017.
