King C. Gillette’s new Beard Thickener strengthens and coats the hair you already have to make it look up to 10% thicker. It contains caffeine, panthenol and niacinamide (all good skin care ingredients) to strengthen hair, making it less likely to break. Strong hair always looks thicker. However, the Beard Thickener also contains polymers to create a sort of external “frame” around each hair to make it look thicker and fuller as well.

Since the product is so new, there aren’t many reviews yet. Those on Target’s website were all collected as part of a promotion, meaning some reviewers may have received the product for free. One guy wrote, “I started using this about five to six weeks ago. I can honestly say I was skeptical at first, but after using this consistently, I can admit I am definitely impressed. My beard feels soft, and you can tell its growth has increased to a nice thickness.”
If you haven’t heard of King C. Gillette, you can probably guess it’s from the same makers as Gillette, the razor brand. While Gillette is aimed at helping people remove hair, this newer line is aimed at helping people groom and take care of their facial hair.
The brand also sells a great Style Master, a slim electric beard trimmer that can help you trim your beard to a precise length of your choice, create clean edges and shave areas where you don’t want hair. It’s cordless and completely waterproof, so you can use it in the shower or right when you get out.

Really, the line has everything you need to shape and moisturize a stellar beard. However, if you’re still trying to grow the one you have, give the Beard Thickener a shot.
