Our friends at BetMGM have released their NFL MVP odds for the upcoming season, and a few former Ohio State football players have made the list. Although it is unlikely that one of the former Buckeyes actually takes home the award as the last eight have gone to quarterbacks, it is still a fun prop to monitor.

An Ohio State alum has never won the prestigious award, but there are a few that could certainly surprise or make waves for years to come. Below are the top three former Buckeyes with the best odds according to the popular online sportsbook.

Ezekiel Elliott +12500

What it means

Ezekiel Elliott currently sits tied for the 32nd highest odds with Davante Adams and DeAndre Hopkins. Elliott has a less than spectacular 2020 season, but the hope is he can rebound in 2021.

Michael Thomas +15000

Saints' Michael Thomas (13) makes a reception over Eagles' Darius Slay (24) Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020 in Philadelphia. The Eagles won 24-21.
Jl Eagles 121320 08

What it means

Michael Thomas is tied with the 40th highest odds for the MVP award along with Andy Dalton and Ben Roethlisberger. Winning the MVP award is a tough task for any receiver, especially a receiver adjusting to a new quarterback.

Justin Fields +20000

What it means

Justin Fields is tied at the 56th highest for the MVP award along with Aaron Jones and Allen Robinson. It is unlikely that a rookie quarterback takes home this award, but Fields may be the best bet if you need to bet on a Buckeye.
