KRYSTEN PEEK: Number 13 Ohio upset the defending NCAA champs, number 4 Virginia, after junior point guard Jason Preston led the Bobcats, finishing with 11 points and 13 rebounds, and added 8 assists, in the win. Ohio didn't take the lead until seven minutes left in the second half. And it was a nail-biter to the end, with Virginia cutting it to 2 with seven seconds left in the game. Ohio clinched the win after a pair of free throws from Lunden McDay, with a final score of 62 to 58.

Virginia was unable to practice for an entire week leading up to the tournament after one of their players tested positive for COVID-19. The team didn't even arrive in Indianapolis until Thursday evening, giving them one day to practice on-site. It's the second time in three tournament appearances Virginia has been eliminated in the first round by a lower seed. And it's the first time Ohio has advanced to the round of 32 since 2012.

The Ohio Bobcats will face number 5 Creighton on Monday. And these two teams have only squared off one other time in school history, back in 1962, when Creighton edged out Ohio by 2 points, 57 to 55.
