Offensive Line struggles continue in first half vs App State

The Aggies offensive line struggled in their week 1 matchup with Sam Houston State, and those struggles have carried over to week 2 against a tough Appalachian state Mountaineers team.

The Aggies again have managed to string a couple of explosive plays together to get on the board, but the for the second week in a row, Haynes King and the offense have struggled to put any sustainable offense together.

Devon Achane broke a 26-yard touch down run a few plays after King scrambled for 31-yards, but for the most part the Mountaineers have lived in the Aggies backfield, keeping King off balance in the pocket, and preventing Achane from building any momentum.

The result is that App State has held the ball for over 20 of the games first 30 minutes, and have run twice as many plays as the Aggies.

If the Aggies are going to break this game open and move to 2-0, they are going to need their offensive linemen to settle in and win the battle in the trenches.
