The Antonio Brown saga in Oakland took yet another turn on Thursday.
Brown “got into it” with general manager Mike Mayock on Wednesday, and reportedly had to be held back by teammates during the incident. The Oakland Raiders are now planning to suspend him.
While that drama was taking place on the West Coast, Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas decided to jump in on the action from New Orleans and take a shot at Mayock on social media.
I wouldn’t take Mike Mayock to serious either for the simple fact he had the nerves to rank 5 guys higher then me coming out the draft. And we all know how that worked out 🤷🏾♂️. Who Dat tho 🙂 #letscallaspadeaspade

“I wouldn’t take Mike Mayock (too) serious either for the simple fact he had the nerves to rank five guys higher than me coming out of the draft,” Thomas tweeted on Thursday night. “And we all know how that worked out. Who Dat tho.”
Thomas was selected No. 47 overall in the 2016 NFL draft, and agreed to a record-setting five-year, $100 million deal earlier this summer. Mayock worked as an analyst for the NFL Network during the 2016 draft, and had at least four other receivers listed ahead of him in a mock draft that April.
Even after three-straight seasons with more than 1,100 yards and 23 total touchdowns, it’s clear that Thomas is still holding a bit of a grudge.
Though Thomas jumped into the Raiders-Brown feud out of nowhere, it is nowhere near the craziest thing to happen in that saga since Brown arrived in Oakland.
In reality, the tweet actually fits the bizarre scenario kind of perfectly.
