New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Yang has been public with his frustrations for the Knicks. And now we know what the "last straw" was for him.

Jeremy Lin and the Knicks could never come to an agreement on money years ago, and because of that, he walked into free agency. That was it for Yang.

"This is the franchise that gave Jerome James $30 million. You let the most beloved Knicks figure in years who lit the Garden and City up walk over money? Come on."

Yang is a lifelong Knicks fan, but that fandom seems to be losing its loyalty.

Either way, he can't hate what he sees on the court right now under Tom Thibodeau. The Knicks currently own the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, and more importantly, the youngsters are contributing each and every night to that record.

Still, the fact the Knicks couldn't keep Lin in The Garden hurts Yang to this day.
