Jersey numbers for Vikings’ 2023 NFL draft class are official
The Minnesota Vikings selected six players in the 2023 NFL draft. Each of those selections has an official number heading into the offseason program. The Vikings announced each player’s number on their Instagram account.
WR Jordan Addison: No. 3
CB Mekhi Blackmon: No. 11
S Jay Ward: No. 20
DT Jaquelin Roy: No. 78
QB Jaren Hall: No. 16
RB DeWayne McBride: No. 37
Fans like to have discussions with jersey numbers and this will generate a lot of that. Some numbers are just equated to better success due to those who have worn them prior to them donning the number.
One thing to keep in mind with this is that there aren’t a ton of numbers available due to the number of players on the roster. All of these guys could in theory change their number once final cuts are made. The one who I don’t expect to change is Addison, as he wore the number three at both Pitt and USC.
