The numbers behind Vassell's Killie form
Much has been made of Danny Armstrong's fine start to the season with Kilmarnock currently sitting in the Premiership's top six.
A lot of that has come down to the wide man's top form, but the influence of his club captain can't be downplayed.
Kyle Vassell has been a focal point for Derek McInnes' men in attack, but the striker has also improved his goalscoring touch.
The six goals he's scored so far this term matches his tally for the entirety of last season, with four coming in his last four games.
But the captain missed Killie's last outing at Hibernian after picking up an injury in the 1-0 win over Motherwell the week prior.
If McInnes has serious aspirations of making his team a a top-six side come May, he will need his first-choice striker back sharpish.
