Notre Dame wins at Virginia Tech but has two teams pass them in AP Poll

·1 min read

Notre Dame remained ranked 14th overall in the latest AP Poll after the Irish came back in a tough road environment to hand Virginia Tech their second loss of the season. In moving to 5-1 Notre Dame didn’t fall in the polls, but passed both Arkansas and BYU who lost this weekend.

Notre Dame was however passed by a pair of SEC schools after they both picked up wins on Saturday. Kentucky beat up on LSU and moved from 16 to 11 while Ole Miss stopped an Arkansas two-point conversion attempt on the game’s final play to move to 4-1 and to the No. 13 ranking after checking in at 17 last week.

It may be frustrating in the moment but Kentucky will have a test next week as they travel to No. 1 Georgia.

Just keep winning games if you’re Notre Dame and they’ll be moving up in no time.
