Notre Dame lands a commitment from 2025 Hawaiian linebacker

Notre Dame football continues to make recruiting look easy, as they added yet another commitment to its 2025 class on Monday evening.

Hawaii’s Ko’o Kia, a 6-foot, 3-inch and 210-pound linebacker made his pledge to the Irish, added another talented player to a growing group. He’s ranked as the No. 54 player at his position and 559th overall recruit according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Kia is the fourteenth commit of the 2025 cycle, but the first linebacker of the group. He selected the Irish over offers from Oregon, Texas, USC and a host of other schools. After making a visit this weekend, Kia didn’t take long to pull the trigger.

Ko’o’s brother, Kahanu is currently a linebacker with the Irish after taking two years off for a mission, making it a family affair for the Kia’s.
