1. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, FRANK LAMPARD, ON GAME AGAINST WEST HAM AND BEING LINKED WITH SIGNING DECLAN RICE, SAYING:

"Well in terms of being a special game, it certainly is a special game in the fact that we want three points. Nothing more than that, particularly from myself. Even with the West Ham connection this is all about what we can try and do to keep pushing for the Champions League spots. Declan Rice is a good player, you're right. I've known Declan Rice for a long time. He was in Chelsea's academy, but there's no talk. I keep saying about every player that we'll be asked about until these games are finished and this season's finished, there's nothing to say."

3. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, FRANK LAMPARD, ON N'GOLO KANTE, SAYING:

"His attributes and his absolute qualities means that he can pretty much play any role in midfield you want him to. He's an incredible player, I keep saying and I really mean it, he's huge for this club, well he has been huge and he will be going forward for a long time and yeah I'm happy with him and it's not just about N'Golo. It's the other players in the squad. I've got a lot of competition in midfield and at the moment N'Golo is doing a really good job for us there."

5. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, FRANK LAMPARD, ON INTEGRATING NEW SIGNINGS TIMO WERNER AND HAKIM ZIYECH INTO THE SQUAD, SAYING:

"Yeah, you're right they do become our players. They also are in different positions in the fact that Hakim hasn't played for a long time because of the Dutch league situation and obviously Timo's finished at the weekend. So, we will formulate a plan for them, which will look slightly different individually and I'll decide in the meantime how it looks at Cobham at the training ground, whether that means mixing with the squad or whether it means some physical work in the shorter term for themselves."

7. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, FRANK LAMPARD, ON ENJOYING BEING BACK AND KEEPING FOCUS, SAYING:

"I'm enjoying it because it's what we do and we're so happy to be back. We're fortunate to do the job we do in that sense and we've obviously managed to get some good results. It's different, Leicester felt most different for us because I think it was the one performance where in the first half we didn't have an energy and an urgency about us, which kind of was a reflection of the fact that there were no fans in the stadium. But it shows you with the input that we put into the other two games we've played, particularly against City, that you can inject urgency without fans. So, that's on us to work towards and yeah I'm enjoying it, but we have to keep focused on what's ahead as opposed to what's gone before. We've had a good week but we've got a lot of work to do."

STORY: Chelsea manager Frank Lampard reiterated on Tuesday (June 30) he has 'nothing to say' regarding players linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Ahead of the Blues trip to West Ham on Wednesday (July 1), Lampard refused to be drawn into any speculation on attempts to sign now-free agent and former Manchester United youngster Angel Gomez and Hammers midfielder Declan Rice.

Instead, Lampard discussed current midfielder N'Golo Kante's important role at the club, saying that the World Cup winning Frenchman has been huge for the club and that it would continue to be the case going forward.

Lampard, whose Chelsea side booked an FA Cup semi-final spot with a 1-0 win over Leicester City at the weekend, has also guided the team to Premier League victories over Aston Villa and second-placed Manchester City.

Chelsea's two new signings Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech will officially join the club on Wednesday, with Lampard currently working out a plan to integrate the pair into the first-team squad.

Ziyech and Werner arrive from Ajax Amsterdam and RB Leipzig respectively but are ineligible to play for Chelsea for the rest of the current season.
