Notable visitors, signees on campus for Texas’ spring game

Texas will have several visitors and signees in attendance for their annual Orange-White game on April 23.

Although Steve Sarkisian mentioned earlier this week that it will not be the typical spring game format, it will still give fans the chance to see many fresh faces on the roster for the first time.

Sarkisian expects the Orange-White game to be a 100-play scrimmage with a red zone competition at the end. The score will not be kept, and quarterbacks Hudson Card and Quinn Ewers will get their fair shot with the first-team offense.

Although they aren’t considered serious or long-term, the Longhorns are dealing with a few nagging injuries to key players at the moment as well. Offensive tackle Andre Karic and running back Bijan Robinson are each nursing ankle injuries.

More importantly, for what feels like the fourth weekend in a row, April 23 will offer a prime opportunity for Sarkisian’s staff to make some progress with a few players on campus. The most notable being former TCU pass rusher Ochaun Mathis.

Here’s a look at a few of the players expected to be in Austin on Saturday:

Four-star OT Ian Reed (2023)

2022 signee Austin Jordan

2022 signee Derrick Brown

2022 signee Brenen Thompson

2022 signee Malik Agbo

2022 signee Xavion Brice

2024 commit Jaden Allen
