Northeast hosts double dual, picks up one win over Beckman Catholic

Jan. 12—GOOSE LAKE — The Northeast Rebels hosted Beckman Catholic, Iowa City Regina and Durant on Thursday night for their Senior Night double dual.

First up the Rebels took on Beckman Catholic, earning the team win 33-21.

Northeast got the leg up, earning five wins by forfeit. Keegan Mclane got the lone win of the match for the Rebels, winning 6-4 by decision over Beckman's Steven Roling.

They then took on Durant for their second match of the night, getting one win by forfeit and their lone other win from Grant Gray who pinned Nicholas Poston in 4:10.

The Rebels lost 45-12.

Finally the Rebels capped off the night against Iowa City Regina, dropping this one 61-15, forfeiting six different matches.

Kelvin Machande picked up one of the three Rebel wins, earning an 8-1 win by decision over Brendan Baker.

Sawyer Schmidt later pinned Tristan Flores in 55 seconds to bounce back on the night.

Gray ended the night perfect, closing things out with a victory over Dawson Boileau, pinning him in 3:18.

This was the last home meet of the season for the Rebels as they look to get the job done on the road the rest of the way out.
