There was no update provided by Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott on Spencer Brown’s status on Friday.

A day prior, the Bills (6-3) placed the rookie right tackle on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Depending on his vaccination status, Brown might miss two games.

On Sunday, Buffalo hosts the Indianapolis Colts (5-5). Then on Thanksgiving, the Bills travel to face the New Orleans Saints (5-4).

“I can’t get into that,” McDermott said via video conference. “He’s in the COVID protocols.”

The Bills do know Brown’s vaccination status but are declining to specific which COVID protocol Brown is currently in.

Per NFL rules, if the rookie right tackle is not vaccinated, he is now out 10 days, no questions asked.

If he vaccinated, Brown has to return two negative tests on back-to-back days before re-joining the team.

Brown is likely out for the team’s upcoming game vs. the Colts. Potentially playing against the Saints is not off the table if Brown is vaccinated.

Bills Wire will provide any updates as they become available.
