No chance the Raiders will trade All-Pro WR Davante Adams before deadline

After arguably the worst performance of his career, the Raiders do not plan on trading All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams before the NFL trade deadline.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, a source told him that there is “not a chance in hell” the Raiders will trade Adams this season.

This isn’t all that surprising as Adams has not requested a trade and the Raiders aren’t about to eat a bunch of dead money to get rid of their best player.

The Raiders are hopeful they can get their offense back on track and that means getting Adams more involved and not trading him away. However, things could certainly change this offseason if the offense doesn’t improve at all over the final nine games.

Adams has totaled 539 yards and three touchdowns in eight games this season. He is coming off back-to-back 1,500-yard, double-digit touchdown seasons with the Packers (2021) and the Raiders (2022). It’s not hard to see he is frustrated, but don’t expect to see him play anywhere else this year.
