Oct. 24—SOUTHERN PINES — The seventh-seeded Scotland men's soccer team lost their first-round matchup in the Sandhills Athletic Conference tournament 6-0 to the second-seeded Pinecrest Patriots Monday night.
Pinecrest (15-4-1) will face No. 3 Southern Lee in the second round Tuesday night in Sanford after the Cavaliers defeated No. 6 Union Pines 3-0 in the first round.
The loss ends Scotland's season at 1-13-1.
