No. 7 Drummond holds off ninth-ranked Allen boys

Feb. 28—CHICKASHA — In the end, the seventh-ranked Drummond Bulldogs proved to be too big of a thorn in the side of the ninth-ranked Allen Mustangs.

Just a week after handing Allen a 57-54 overtime loss in regional tournament action, Drummond bounced the Mustangs out of the playoffs with a narrow 46-44 victory Saturday night in a Class A Area Tournament consolation championship contest.

Coach Greg Mills' squad ends a remarkable 2023-24 season at 25-3, while Drummond advances to this week's Class A State Tournament at 25-4.
