No. 4 Ducks enter game vs. Stony Brook as massive 40.5-point favorites

It’s crazy the difference that a week can make.

After awaiting kickoff against Ohio State just seven days ago and finding out that they would be without both Kayvon Thibodeaux and Justin Flowe, Oregon saw their betting line against the Buckeyes fall to +15 points on the road.

Now, the Ducks get ready for their homestand against the Stony Brook Seawolves and see a drastically different betting line in front of them.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, Oregon is a 40.5-point favorite going into this game against an FCS school, with an over/under of 54.5. Amazingly, that means that the oddsmakers are predicting a score somewhere in the ballpark of 47-7.

3 storylines to watch as No. 4 Oregon Ducks face Stony Brook on Saturday

The Ducks are currently pretty banged up, with the injury bug hitting hard over the first couple of weeks of the season. Linebacker Justin Flowe and tight end Cam McCormick have been lost for the season, and star defender Kayvon Thibodeaux has been forced to miss time with an ankle injury. It is unclear whether or not Thibodeaux will play on Saturday, or if the Ducks will ultimately need him to win.

With the first two weeks of the season bringing some stress and intensity, it may be nice to watch the Ducks in a game where they are projected to put it away early. We can hope to see plenty of backups and have a nice and relaxing afternoon at Autzen Stadium.
