The University of Texas-San Antonio's dream season continued on Saturday.

Oscar Cardenas caught a touchdown pass from Frank Harris on third down with three seconds left to give the No. 22 Roadrunners a 34-31 win over UAB. Harris dropped the snap and his pass to Cardenas was tipped by a UAB player before he caught it.

Here's how UTSA moved to 11-0.

UTSA didn’t lead until the third quarter on Saturday. The Roadrunners took a 27-24 lead late in the third quarter on a 49-yard field goal by Hunter Duplessis but UAB (7-4) retook the lead by four with 5:19 to go on a 16-yard run by DeWayne McBride.

UTSA turned the ball over on downs with less than two minutes to go at the UAB 41 after that TD. But the Roadrunners were able to force a 3-and-out in 46 seconds to get the ball back wit 1:06 to go. It took UTSA seven plays to go 77 yards as Cardenas had a 28-yard catch on the drive and De’Corian Clark had a 33-yard catch to get UTSA to the UAB 10.

Harris finished the game with 323 yards passing and three touchdowns while Sincere McCormick also scored a rushing TD.

The win clinched the Conference USA West division for the Roadrunners. UTSA will host the winner of Western Kentucky and Marshall’s game on Saturday on Dec. 4 for the Conference USA title. If UTSA beats North Texas next week and then wins the Conference USA title, hopefully ESPN and bowl executives will do college football fans a huge favor and put the Roadrunners in a relevant bowl game against a strong opponent.
