No. 19 Rambelles aim to sustain momentum with five matches remaining in the regular season

SAN ANGELO, TX— The 19th-ranked Angelo State Rambelles tennis team dropped a match against third-ranked Midwestern State on Friday but bounced back to defeat twenty-fourth- ranked Lubbock Christian on Saturday to move to 14-2 overall and 4-1 in Lone Star Conference play.

Angelo State looks to maintain momentum as they face St. Mary’s on Saturday at 11 a.m.

“It was a tough match on Friday. We had some close matches we could’ve won, but it was a great match. We just had to pick ourselves up after that match and go to LCU Saturday, and forget about that match and just do everything to get that win because we needed that win on Saturday,” said Eva Schwartz.

“The chances to help our seeding out in the conference tournament and help out for our NCAA regional ranking, this is a big weekend to do that. We got senior weekend the next weekend after that, and then we have to finish strong on the road against Tyler and DBU to send us into the conference tournament with some good momentum. The expectations are always to go out and prepare ourselves to give ourselves the best chance to win,” said head coach Jason Potthoff.
