HARRISONBURG – Top-ranked James Madison used 474 rushing yards to roll past Norfolk State 75-14 on Saturday at Bridgeforth Stadium.

It was the second time this season JMU rushed for at least 400 yards in a single game.

Junior running back Trai Sharp carried nine times for 130 yards and a touchdown. Freshman running back Percy Ageyi-Obese had 103 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Junior running back Marcus Marshall, senior running back Cardon Johnson, quarterback Bryan Schor and senior running back Taylor Woods each rushed for 40 yards or more.

Johnson left the game in the second quarter with injury, though, and there is no official word on his status yet from JMU.

For a second straight game, the Dukes’ defense didn’t allow a touchdown as the Norfolk State scores came on a 33-yard fumble recovery and an 100-yard kickoff return.

With the win, JMU (3-0) extended the nation’s longest winning streak in Division I to 15 victories. The Dukes open their Colonial Athletic Association schedule next week against Maine.

Norfolk State drops to 0-3 on the year.
