The New England Patriots' practice field looked noticeably different Tuesday than it did last week.

For one, rookie wide receiver N'Keal Harry participated in his first regular-season practice, wearing No. 15 on the practice field outside Gillette Stadium.

Harry, who is on short-term injured reserve with an ankle injury, is eligible to practice this week but can't return to game action until Week 9.

Tight ends Ben Watson (No. 84) and Eric Tomlinson (No. 82) also were at practice Tuesday, confirming reports that the Patriots planned to sign both players.

Additionally, an unidentified wide receiver wearing No. 17 participated in Tuesday's practice. Antonio Brown was the last Patriot to wear No. 17 before the team released him on Sept. 20.

Also notable was who didn't show up Tuesday, as wide receiver Josh Gordon and defensive end Michael Bennett weren't spotted.

Gordon exited last Thursday's game against the New York Giants after twisting his left leg awkwardly, although his injury reportedly isn't thought to be serious.

Bennett played just 11 snaps against New York and has seen a steady decrease in playing time since Week 1.

UPDATE (3:15 p.m. ET): The No. 17 mystery has been solved, according to the Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan. It's wide receiver Devin Ross, who was added to the practice squad Tuesday.
