NJ Teams at Elevate Hoops Summer Ice Breaker 1

Elevate Hoops ran the Summer Ice Breaker 1 Tournament July 12-13 at Sportika in Manalapan.

In addition to the NJ teams there were a few NJ players on other teams.

17U DIVISION      


There were 32 teams in action

New Jersey teams were: SJ Hoops Elite, SBA Elite, Rockits, East Coast Cyclones, Firm, Game 7 Sharks, Pirates, Sportika Hoop Nation Uhl, Sportika Hoop Nation Daley, Force.

In the Platinum Bracket:

In the quarterfinals the EC Cyclones lost to JS Warriors Gold 58-49. The Force beat Team Final Black 80-72. 6-foot-4 Atlantic City Sr. Ray Bethea had 22.

In the semis: The Force outscored Team AJ Price 73-63.

In the championship: The Force thwarted PK Flash 82-53 as 6-foot-1 Wildwood Catholic Sr. Caleb Fields went for 29 with 5 treys.

16 DIVISION      

There were 14 teams in action

New Jersey teams were: The Firm, Bulls, East Coast Cyclones and Sportika Hoop Nation

In the championship: The Firm lost to the JS Warriors Gold 71-55. 6-foot-8 CBA Jr. Josh Cohen tallied 13. 6-foot-1 West Side Jr. James Bell notched 16 points and 7 rebounds for the Firm.

There were 12 teams competing
