After reports from ESPN came in about the acquisition on Monday, Ninjas in Pyjamas is officially confirmed to have purchased a spot in the EU LCS. The confirmation comes by way of Riot Games’ contract database, the official list of professional League of Legends teams and players.

Ninjas in Pyjamas has purchased the spot earned by Fnatic Academy, who qualified for the EU LCS by way of the 2017 EU LCS Summer Promotion tournament. The new NiP lineup won’t feature any players from the FNA team, however.

The full roster is as follows:

  • Kim “Profit” Jun-hyung – Top

  • Ilyas “Shook” Hartsema – Jungle

  • Kim “Nagne” Sang-moon – Mid

  • Martin “HeaQ” Kordmaa – AD carry

  • Hampus “sprattel” Mikael Abrahamsson – Support

  • Nicholas “NicothePico” Korsgaard – Coach

Profit previously played for SK Telecom T1, where he split time with Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon during the first half of 2017. Shook is an EU LCS veteran, having played for a variety of teams since his introduction to the league on Copenhagen Wolves in 2013. Nagne was the longtime mid laner in the NaJin and KT Rolster organizations. HeaQ is the least experienced of the roster, having played for largely Challenger squads. Sprattel previously played for Elements, FC Schalke 04, and Paris Saint-Germain. Finally, NicothePico spent time as a coach for Fnatic up until March of this year.

Ninjas in Pyjamas will be joined by Mysterious Monkeys as the new faces of the EU LCS. For more, head over to the Yahoo Esports League of Legends hub.
