Nikunen hurls shutout in AA Lakers win Friday
May 20—Adam Nikunen tossed a five-inning shutout as the AA Lakers beat the Edmonton Padres 10-0 Friday on the first day of the annual Canadian Days tournament in Kalispell.
Nikunen allowed one hit and struck out five while helping his own cause at the plate going 3-4 with three runs scored and three runs batted in.
Carter Schlegel's two run triple in the bottom of the 5th capped things off for the Lakers to bring things to the score to the final tally. Oscar Kallis hit a third inning double that drove in a pair of runs for the Lakers and Ostyn Brennan was 2-4 with two runs scored.
