Nike releases the Air Zoom Pegasus 37 with new React foam, promising a more responsive stride

Since 1983, Nike has branded their popular Pegasus sneaker as “the shoe for every runner.” For the 37th installment of the beloved trainer, the Swoosh is introducing innovative technology that makes it unlike any trainer you’ve ever worn.

Perhaps the biggest revision to the Air Zoom Pegasus 37 is the material used in the foam. Instead of the standard Cushlon, also found in the Epic React and the Infinity Run, Nike opted for React foam in the midsole. This change results in a lighter, more responsive and more durable return than its predecessor.

Other new features include a translucent upper that gives the shoe a lightweight, feather-like look and an Air Zoom unit at the forefoot, delivering more bounce with every step you take.

Keeping in tradition with the Air Zoom Pegasus 36, Nike kept the heel collar that tapers away from the Achilles tendon — a design suggested via feedback from athletes. The usual waffle rubber outsole helps provide trusted durability no matter what surface doubles as your workout area.

Reviews are already pouring in since the late April launch. Despite the adjustments, several agree the Air Zoom Pegasus 37 is a respectable upgrade from the Air Zoom Pegasus 36. Check out satisfied customers had to say:

“These shoes offer an incredibly steady and comfortable ride throughout your run. I ran 6 miles in them and felt supported and comfortable the entire time. They feel a tad bigger than the prior edition but you easily get used to it. These shoes make me excited to hit the road. I’ll be ordering another pair soon!”

“I can't recall the last time I took a new shoe out for a run and so thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The original Brooks Launch was good for me way back when, but the Nike Pegasus 37 is the new shoe I'll be raving about for what I'm sure will be a long time to come.”

“Took them out for a 8k and for a neutral running shoe, the response is like no other shoe in the Nike running lineup! It felt like I was running in Vomero's but still with the quick response feel of the Pegasus! This shoe is truly in a league of its own, 37 years of greatness!”

Retailing for $120 in both men and women’s sizes, you can find the new Air Zoom Pegasus 37 on Nike, Dick’s Sporting Goods and other online merchants.
