Nik Lentz shouts out his 'homie Brett Kavanaugh' after UFC 229 win
Saturday was a difficult day for many Americans who watched in dismay as the U.S. Senate confirmed a man believed by many to be a sexual predator to the Supreme Court.
Later in the day, UFC lightweight Nik Lentz seized the opportunity to affirm his heel status with praise for newly-appointed Justice Brett Kavanaugh hours after a 50-48-1 vote put the judge accused of multiple sexual assaults on the country’s highest court.
Lentz defeated Gray Maynard via TKO at UFC 229 in Las Vegas. In his post-match interview with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, the first words out of Lentz’s mouth weren’t about his win, his opponent or to call out his next fight.
They were a shoutout to his “homie Brett Kavanaugh.”

“First and foremost, I want to give out a shout to my homie Brett Kavanaugh,” Lentz said after Rogan congratulated him on his win. “Way to go, Special K.”
Lentz concluded his ode to “Special K” with a thumbs-up that was met with scattered jeers and applause from the not-yet full T-Mobile Arena crowd watching the early proceedings ahead of the main card featuring Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Lentz is a long-time and loud President Donald Trump supporter who was reportedly successfully unblocked on Twitter by Trump after a litany of messages to the president.
Now he’s taken his political stance directly to the ring, which is a good way to gain some attention in 2018.
