Nick Senzel out for remainder of season due to torn labrum

The Athletic’s C. Trent Rosecrans reports that Reds outfielder Nick Senzel will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

Senzel, 24, appeared to suffer the injury making a catch against the center field fence in St. Louis on August 31. He played in his team’s next seven games but hasn’t played since September 7 and hasn’t logged an official plate appearance since the 5th.

Senzel’s rookie season ends with him batting .256/.315/.427 with 12 home runs, 42 RBI, 55 runs scored, and 14 stolen bases in 414 plate appearances.
