Golden Knights players and their dads learned how to curl in Minnesota during their day off on Wednesday. Jonathan Marchessault mastered the sliding of the stone. The Golden Knights and their dads posed for a group photo to wrap up the day.
The Vegas Golden Knights came out of the All-Star Break with a bang after defeating the Nashville Predators 5-1 on the road, snapping their four-game losing streak and taking back the top spot in the Pacific Division. While the Predators are fifth in the Central Division and are four points behind the Calgary Flames for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference, they entered the All-Star Break playing some of their best hockey all season.
The Predators were the first to get on the board, when Matt Duchene received a no-look pass from Roman Josi and ripped it into the back of the net to make it 1-0 at 5:04 of the first period. The momentum shifted quickly, however, as Michael Amadio fired a shot past Saros to tie it up for Vegas just over a minute later. The Golden Knights took the lead less than 30 seconds later, when William Carrier forced a turnover in the neutral zone and scored on the breakaway to make it 2-1. Phil Kessel then cleaned up a William Carrier rebound to extend the Vegas lead to 3-1 at 11:58 of the first frame.
