Rittich makes 28 saves, Kings defeat Ducks to gain in Pacific race
LOS ANGELES -- David Rittich made 28 saves, and the Los Angeles Kings gained in the Pacific Division with a 3-1 win against the Anaheim Ducks at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday. Pierre-Luc Dubois, Kevin Fiala and Matt Roy scored for the Kings (43-26-11), who have won five of their past six and moved three points ahead of the idle Vegas Golden Knights for third place in the Pacific. Los Angeles center Anze Kopitar did not play because of an undisclosed injury and is day to day. Thomas scores first goal as Kings beat Sharks
Akil Thomas scored his first NHL goal and David Rittich stopped 15 shots as the Los Angeles Kings beat the San Jose Sharks 2-1 on Thursday night to improve their playoff position. "It felt amazing," Thomas said. Adrian Kempe also scored for the Kings, who are 7-0-1 in their last eight games against San Jose.
