CAPE HATTERAS, N.C. (WITN) - A New Jersey man certainly has a big fish tale to tell others after his visit to Hatteras last week. The Division of Marine Fisheries said Thomas Madsen, of Byram, New Jersey, snagged a 58-pound, 8-ounce Cubera Snapper. That set a new state record for the species.
He seemed like a good bet to add scoring depth, but his first season in New Jersey didn’t go as planned. Tatar finished the 2021-22 campaign with 15 goals and 30 points in 76 games and saw his impacts fall sharply from where he was with the Canadiens. At 31 years old, age-related decline is always a possibility.
Though boxing participation has risen nationally, New Jersey gyms are shutting down as the path to a paycheck gets longer and more doubtful.
