Darcy Tucker Weighs in on the 2023-24 Maple Leafs (Video)

Former Toronto Maple Leaf, Darcy Tucker, was interviewed this past week by Christine Simpson to discuss his outlook for the upcoming 2023-24 Maple Leafs season. The team is under the new management of general manager (GM) Brad Treliving. Changes have been made, including adding some grit and fresh faces to the roster, such as Max Domi, son of a former teammate of Tucker's (Tie Domi). Tucker is eager to see how the Maple Leafs perform this season, both in the regular season and, more importantly, during the playoffs.

Maple Leafs' Keefe Impressed With Nylander, Domi Connection

The offseason brought change to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Also amongst those changes is head coach Sheldon Keefe moving William Nylander to the middle. What makes this move even more interesting is the possibility of Domi and Nylander potentially playing together on the third line — a line that would have some grit and offence, especially off the rush with those two coming together. The possibility of the two playing together has created intrigue within the organization, so much so that Keefe shared how impressive he believes the two have been together right off the opening drop of the puck.

Maple Leafs excited by gritty, vocal additions

Ryan Reaves wasn't going to sign just anywhere. The Toronto Maple Leafs remade a chunk of their forward group — new general manager Brad Treliving described it as adding “a little more snot to our game” back in the summer — during a dramatic off-season of change. The big names, including stars Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander and John Tavares, remain in place after the organization finally broke through last spring and advanced in the playoffs for the first time since 2004.
