The Blues’ AHL affiliate in Utica is back up and running after a lengthy COVID shutdown. On Wednesday, Blues goalie prospect Evan Fitzpatrick got in his first game of the season, allowing two goals and making 16 saves in a 3-2 win over Syracuse. The day before, another Blues goalie prospect, Joel Hofer, made 24 saves in a 5-1 win over Syracuse.
Mikko Rantanen and J.T. Compher each had a goal and an assist and the Colorado Avalanche won their fourth straight with a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Brandon Saad also scored, and Liam O’Brien had a pair of assists for Colorado, which improved to 17-1-2 since March 10, setting a mark for the best 20-game stretch in franchise history.
