Former Blackhawk Rene Bourque sells Roscoe Village mansion for $1.5M

Former Chicago Blackhawks right wing Rene Bourque and his wife, Jana, sold their five-bedroom, 4,200-square-foot house in Chicago’s Roscoe Village neighborhood on Wednesday for $1.51 million. A native of Alberta, Bourque, 35, who now skates for a Swedish hockey team, was with the Blackhawks from 2005 until the team traded him to the Calgary Flames in 2008. However, he and his wife long had maintained their permanent residence in Chicago. They paid $1.465 million in 2014 for the Roscoe Village house, which at that time had just been built. Now, however, Bourque and his wife have settled on a new residence outside of the Chicago area, listing agent Mark Icuss of Conlon/Christie’s International

"Every day I've just got to prove that I belong and that I can earn a spot on the team." Chiasson is not alone. Almost 60 players are on similar PTOs around the league, though it's not all unproven commodities and grizzled veterans trying to show they still have something left

Is it too early to get seriously hyped about a save during the preseason? Probably. But let’s do it anyway. In Wednesday’s tilt against the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames goalie Jon Gillies went behind-the-back to snag the puck out of mid-air, submitting
