Sharks' Quinn declares after latest blowout loss, 'It's going to stop.' But when?

San Jose Sharks coach David Quinn made a declaration after seeing his team lose its eighth straight game. “It's going to stop, I'll tell you that right now,” Quinn said after the Sharks were smoked 7-2 by the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday. The Sharks have 10 games left this season and will be an underdog in every one of them, starting with Saturday's game in Calgary against the desperate Flames. Thursday in Vancouver, through a combination of turnovers, some lackluster defense, and questionable goaltending, the Sharks fell again and are now 2-12-4 since a 4-1 win over the Washington Capitals on Super Bowl Sunday.

Kuzmenko sets Canucks mark in 7-2 win over Sharks

Andrei Kuzmenko scored his 35th goal, a Canucks franchise record for a first-year player, to lead Vancouver to a 7-2 rout of the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night. The Russian forward, who also had an assist, topped the 34 goals scored by Pavel Bure in 1991-92. J.T. Miller, Dakota Joshua, Conor Garland and Phillip Di Giuseppe also each had a goal and an assist, and Vasily Podkolzin and Sheldon Dries scored for Vancouver.
